Palermo’s story is inseparable from the sea. For centuries, its port connected the city to cultures, ingredients and traditions from across the Mediterranean, and on this evening tour we’ll explore that history through its waterfront neighborhoods.
We’ll begin near La Cala, Palermo’s ancient port, with Sicilian vermouth at a century-old café before heading toward the lively Vucciria market. Along the way, we’ll taste local cheeses, spices and dried fruit at a historic delicatessen, with the option to try Palermo’s famous pane con la milza.
From there, we’ll continue through La Kalsa, stopping for traditional baked goods and a family-run trattoria serving dishes such as caciocavallo all’argentiera, pasta with sardines and fried calamari. We’ll finish by the revitalized port with fresh seafood crudo and Sicilian wine, followed by a gelato tasting from master artisan Antonio Cappadonia.
We will meet you at Antico Caffeteria Corona BAR
