Depart at 06:00 from Mombasa and drive towards Tsavo East National Park, arriving at Bachuma Gate around 10:00. As one of the main entrances to Tsavo East, Bachuma Gate grants access to Kenya’s largest protected area, covering 13,747 square kilometers. Immediately upon entering, you will embark on your game drive, or safari, where you’ll witness the breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife. Keep an eye out for majestic herds of elephants, Cape buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and smaller animals such as lesser kudu, hartebeest, and bush babies. A variety of bird species will also add to the visual feast. By midday, you’ll arrive at Ngutuni Safari Lodge for lunch, enjoying a relaxing break after the morning adventure. Following lunch, take a short siesta to recharge. In the afternoon, continue your game drive in search of waterbucks, lesser kudus, warthogs, impalas, and many other animals. You will return to Ngutuni Safari Lodge by 18:00, where you’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night.
Early in the morning, embark on an exhilarating game drive in the Ngutuni sanctuary, renowned for its large mammals and iconic wildlife. The Sanctuary is home to vast herds of dust-red elephants, as well as buffalo, lions and leopards. With a bit of luck, you may even witness a predatory kill, making your safari experience even more memorable. After this exciting morning, return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast before checking out and heading towards Tsavo West National Park. Along the way, marvel at the sight of dust-red elephants wallowing and rolling in the mud, and take in the breathtaking views of the 300-kilometer-long Yatta Plateau, the world’s longest lava flow. These sights create an adventure unlike any other in Tsavo East. You will arrive in Tsavo West in time for lunch, which will be served at Ngulia Safari Lodge. Afterward, enjoy an afternoon visit to the Rhino Sanctuary. The day concludes with dinner and an overnight stay at Ngulia Safari Lodge.

Here, you will witness crystal-clear waters gushing from the parched lava rock, with opportunities to see hippos and crocodiles up close while enjoying your picnic lunch nearby. Following the visit to Mzima Springs, proceed on a game drive as you exit the park, enjoying the scenic landscapes along the route. You will then be dropped of to your beach hotel late in the evening.
