The Comedy Cellar is a small, intimate stand-up comedy club where the audience is right in the middle of the action. Rather than watching comedy in a large theatre, you’re only a few feet away from the performers, which creates a much more personal and unpredictable experience.
The shows feature a changing mix of Irish, Scottish and international comedians, with stand-up, crowd work and plenty of interaction with the audience. No two shows are ever exactly the same.
It has the feel of a proper grassroots comedy club: relaxed, lively and focused on genuinely funny live comedy rather than a polished corporate experience. Being located in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town also makes it an easy addition to a night out in the city.
It’s the kind of comedy experience where you feel part of the show rather than simply watching it.
