Enjoy some free time in Valladolid, a historic colonial town in Yucatán. Take a walk through the main square and admire San Servacio Church, one of the town’s best-known landmarks, while taking in the local atmosphere. You’ll also have the opportunity to browse local handicrafts and explore the colorful streets before continuing with the tour.
As the sun sets, experience Chichén Itzá after dark during the Nights of Kukulkan evening program. Walk through the archaeological site and learn about the history, astronomy, and mythology of the ancient Maya. The experience culminates with a sound-and-light show projected onto the Kukulkan Pyramid, using lights, images, and narration to present stories and elements of Maya culture. Seeing the archaeological site illuminated at night offers a different perspective on one of Yucatán’s most important Maya sites. The evening setting and Kukulkan sound-and-light show make this a different way to experience Chichén Itzá.
