Rotorua's private sauna experience pairs a stone-heated Japanese hinoki wood sauna with views of lit ponds and small waterfalls beside Whakarewarewa Forest. Designed for up to four people, it includes cedar cold plunge tubs, a cold shower, and access to the Shinny Dip Foot Hot Tubs for a contrast-therapy session. Volcanic rocks from Finland provide the heat, and a private changing room keeps the setup simple for new and experienced sauna users.

Check-in: Please arrive 15 minutes before your booked soak to check in at reception. There is plenty of free parking available outside the building.
What to expect
Your private sauna experience is 40 minutes long, with an individual changing area located inside your sauna (you will have 10mins to change). Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, and remember that swimwear or appropriate clothing must be worn at all times.
Crafted from aromatic Japanese hinoki wood, our saunas start from approximately 70°C and can comfortably fit up to four members of your group. Inside, you’ll enjoy a traditional sauna experience with heated volcanic rocks from Finland and a bucket of water, allowing you to control the level of steam.
Chilled drinking water is provided, and you’ll have access to nearby 12°C cold plunge tubs and a cold outdoor shower. For the best results and to experience the full benefits of contrast therapy, we recommend alternating between the sauna and cold plunge throughout your session.
