During your safari, you will have a chance to visit Hell's Gate National Park which has over 100 species of birds including vultures, Verreaux's Eagles, augur buzzard, and swifts. African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle, and baboons are also common.

You'll leave Nairobi early and drive toward Hell's Gate National Park. Once you arrive, pick your adventure: either a safari vehicle game drive or a 7-kilometer bike ride through the park (around 3 hours total). Both options include a walking safari where you can take in the gorge views up close. Expect to see zebras, giraffes, buffalo, and lots of bird species along the way. Grab lunch at Fishermen's Camp, then spend your afternoon on Lake Naivasha doing a boat ride. Dinner and your overnight stay happen at the camp.
After breakfast, head to Crescent Island Game Sanctuary, a peninsula on Lake Naivasha's eastern side. You'll get there by a short boat trip from the mainland or drive through the Horse Riding Complex. Since there are no predators here, the animals move around freely and you'll spot giraffes, waterbucks, elands, wildebeest, zebras, and impalas without much trouble. Birdwatchers will love it too, with over 200 species recorded on the island. From the island you can also see plenty of hippos in the water. Have lunch, then drive back to Nairobi, getting in late afternoon.
