Your journey begins at Vasquez Cobo Airport, where the dense, scented jungle air will give you the first hug. After the reception, we will transfer to the Waira Hotel, a refuge in the heart of Leticia, to leave behind the rhythm of the city and tune into the pulse of the Amazon.
We will walk with respect to the port for our first encounter with the Great Amazon River. At this point where the maps draw imaginary borders between Colombia, Brazil and Peru.
We will start the journey with a welcome lunch on a craft raft. Here, the fruits of the jungle are tasted as the river flows under your feet, in a toast to the journey that begins.
We will devote the afternoon to discovering the treasures that man has co-created with the forest: We will visit the Ethnographic Museum, a shrine that holds the memory and sacred objects of the ethnic groups that have guarded this territory for millennia. (Closed Saturdays, Sundays and holidays; in their absence, the jungle will tell us their stories along other paths). We will tour the local craft shops, where every wood carving and fabric has the spiritual DNA of the jungle printed on it.
As the sun falls, Leticia's sky becomes a mystical setting. We will witness a rhythmic and frantic dance: thousands of parrots and swallows return in clouds of life to their nests in the central park. It is a sound and visual spectacle that reminds us of the oldest law of nature: the importance of always returning to the home.
The day concludes with a gala dinner at Hotel Waira, where the flavors of the region rise to celebrate your first night under the Amazonian sky.
After the first breath of the day and an invigorating breakfast, we will indulge in the embrace of the Amazon River. We will sail its cinnamon-colored waters to the Marasha Nature Reserve, in Peruvian territory. Here, the border is not a line, but the whisper of water leading us to a sanctuary where the jungle still dictates the laws of time.
The typical Peruvian lunch will be a banquet of honesty. At a table served with fresh ingredients and legacy recipes, simplicity becomes luxury. We will taste the day’s fishing and the fruits of the season, honoring the largest and most generous pantry on the planet.
In the afternoon, time becomes circular as we merge with the ecosystem: • Water Dance (Canoa and Kayak): We will slide silently over the mirror of the lake, watching the dance of herons and the flight of morpho butterflies, feeling the peace that only meek water can grant. • Ancestral Patience (Artisanal Fishing): We will learn local subsistence techniques, a practice that requires silence, respect and a deep connection with what the river decides to give us.
As the sun goes down, the jungle transforms. The scents intensify and the chorus of insects and amphibians announce that the spirits of the forest have awakened. On a night expedition, we will sharpen the senses under the moonlight, looking for the amber flash in the eyes of the black alligator, the millennial lord of these waters.
We will close the day with dinner under the endless blanket of stars, and then give ourselves to rest. Sleeping in the depths of Marasha is not just overnight; it is allowing the song of the jungle to coo our spirit until dawn.
The day begins with a breakfast in the reserve, where the fruit flavors of the jungle prepare the body for the encounter with the "Mar River". At the end, we will surrender to the current of the Amazon River, the great artery of the Earth, starting a speedboat journey to the heart of the Amazonian trapeze.
We will enter paths of shadow and light for a close encounter with the primates. Here, time stands still as we observe the agility and ingenuity of these little guardians, in an interaction marked by respect and wonder of wildlife.
We will be welcomed by the Tikuna people, the children of Yoi and Ipi. Under the maloca, wood comes to life: o Dances of the Jungle : The rhythm of the feet on earth will connect us with the ancestral pulse. o The Art of Chambira and the Stick of Blood: We will witness how they transform the bark of trees and seeds into treasures, while sharing their worldview, a bridge between man and the spirit of the forest.
Arrival in Puerto Nariño, a haven of peace where the asphalt does not exist and silence is respected. This “eco-friendly manger” welcomes us for a traditional lunch, where the taste of the fish and the aroma of the Amazonian pepper are the protagonists. After lunch, we will walk through its florid streets, feeling the harmony of a people who have decided to live in balance with nature.
We will sail the waters in search of a sacred encounter: the pink dolphin. In the areas where the river turns mirror, we will wait patiently for the dance of these mythical beings who, according to legend, possess the power to enchant the human soul. Its appearance is a gift of nature, a whisper of the river that is not always visible, but is always present.
As the sun sets staining the bronze water, we will return to Leticia (approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes), letting the river breeze clear the thoughts. The day culminates with a comforting dinner and a rest at Waira Suites, where dreams will be woven with the sounds of the nearby jungle.
The morning begins with a breakfast in the hotel, savoring for the last time the sweetness of the exotic fruits that only this land knows how to give. It is a time for silence, to let the sounds of the jungle city mix with the memories of the days spent on the river.
Free morning, a space for rest or for a last tour of the streets of Leticia. It is the perfect opportunity to: • Treasures with Soul: Visit the craft shops and choose that object — a blood stick carving, a cumare palm fabric — that will serve as an amulet and reminder of the spirit of the Amazon in your home. • Final Contemplation : Walk without haste, letting the skin say goodbye to the moisture and sun of the Amazonian trapeze.
