There was much more walking than indicated. Could not hear the guide very well, and he walked too fast for some of us.

Enjoy a relaxed 2-hour walking tour of Batumi, starting from Central Park and continuing through the city’s most charming streets and landmarks.During the walk, guests will explore the atmosphere of old and modern Batumi, see elegant European-style architecture, and visit some of the city’s best-known highlights.

This tour is a great introduction to Batumi for first-time visitors. Along the way, guests will learn about the city’s history, seaside lifestyle, architecture, and cultural mix, while enjoying plenty of opportunities for photos.

The tour is conducted on foot at a comfortable pace and lasts approximately 2 hours. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially during the summer season.

    Batumi Central Park (May 6 Park) is located in Adjara, Batumi. It is the first civil garden in Batumi. Construction of the park began in 1881, in the south-eastern part of Lake Nuri-Geli. From 1885,. Today, the garden, hidden in the green, with its beautiful paths and view of Lake Nuri is a beautiful sight and one of the perfect places for relaxation and fun.

    · Chavchavadze Drama Theater- The Ilia Chavchavadze Drama Theatre is in Batumi's old city centre, near the sea and port. wo lion sculptures from the second century B.C., discovered during Khorghaniexcavations in Tsnori, are now displayed on the plinth at the entrance.

    Europe Square

    Batumi Europe Square is located in Adjara, Batumi city, on Memed Abashidze Avenue. It is also called Era Square. A large fountain and beautiful buildings of past centuries add to the charm of this place.

    Construction of the church, decorated with arcades and pilasters, began in 1879, but a lack of finances led to construction taking more than a quarter of a century. The first incarnation was a wooden church dating back to 1885, but it soon fell apart, forcing the worshippers to instead hold services in a parishioner’s home until the new church was completed in December, 1900.

    The Batumi Synagogue, completed in 1904 under the leadership of Semyon Vulkovich, remains a vibrant center of Jewish life in Adjara. Known as the Stone Ashkenazi Synagogue, it blends European architectural style of the early 20th century with Georgian elements. Visitors admire its decorated wooden door, symmetrical round and oval windows, and elegant ironwork.
