1Rock-Hewn Churches of Lalibela
Day 1: Addis Ababa – Lalibela Take an early morning domestic flight from Addis Ababa to Lalibela. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel for check-in. After lunch, begin your guided tour of the Northern Cluster of Lalibela's UNESCO-listed rock-hewn churches, including Bet Medhane Alem, Bet Maryam, Bet Meskel, and several interconnected churches linked by tunnels and passageways carved from solid rock. After the tour, return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. Day 2: Lalibela – Addis Ababa After breakfast, explore the Southern Cluster of Lalibela's rock-hewn churches, including the iconic Bet Giyorgis (St. George), the finest and most celebrated church in Lalibela. If your visit falls on a Saturday, you may also explore Lalibela's colorful weekly market, where local people from the surrounding villages gather to trade goods and livestock. Around 11:30 AM, transfer to Lalibela Airport for your return flight to Addis Ababa.
