With remarkable geographical and emotional diversity, our DMZ tour will take visitors on a seamless arc through two contrasting fronts of the Resistance War Against America. From the deeply moving underground survival network of the coastal Vinh Moc Tunnels to the dramatic, mist-shrouded mountain outposts along the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Khe Sanh and the Dakrong Bridge. By pairing iconic Cold War borderlines like the 17th Parallel and Ben Hai River with the poignant, ruin-scarred sanctuaries of the Quang Tri Citadel, the itinerary balances intense historical immersion with sweeping landscape transitions, offering a uniquely holistic reflection on conflict, human resilience, and the enduring spirit of peace.

08:30 - 9:30 AM: Transfer to and explore Vinh Moc Tunnels Hand-dug deep into the red earth to shelter an entire community during intense wartime bombings, Vinh Moc Tunnels is an incredible feat of human resilience and engineering. Tourists begin their journey at the exhibition hall to learn about the site's rich history through authentic artifacts and photographs, before stepping down into the cool, three-tiered underground network. Below the surface, visitors can explore remarkably preserved living spaces from wartime - ranging from small family quarters, meeting rooms, and smokeless Hoang Cam kitchens, to a legendary maternity room where 17 babies were born. The immersive walk ends on a breathtaking note as the narrow tunnels open directly onto the windswept Vinh Moc coast, offering stunning sea views and a deep appreciation for peace and human resilience.
09:50 - 10:20 AM: Hien Luong Bridge & Ben Hai River: The Divided Parallel Spanning the historic Ben Hai River along the 17th Parallel, Hien Luong Bridge stands as an iconic national symbol of Vietnam’s painful division and ultimate reunification. For over 20 years during the war, this narrow bridge physically split the country into North and South. Today, painted in two contrasting colors to commemorate that divided past, it offers visitors a deeply moving walk across a historic border that now unites a peaceful nation.
11:20 AM – Ta Con Airbase (Khe Sanh Combat Base): The Echoes of a Turning Point Nestled in the mist-shrouded valley of Khe Sanh, Ta Con Airbase was the vital core of the U.S. military's strongpoint defense along Route 9 during the Vietnam War (or the Resistance War Against America) In early 1968, this strategic airstrip became the focal point of the famous 170-day Battle of Khe Sanh, one of the most intense and publicized sieges of the war. Today, the once-stormy airfield is an open-air historical museum surrounded by peaceful coffee and rubber plantations.

01:45 PM – Depart for Route 9 – Da Krong Bridge Travel along National Highway 9, the strategic East–West Truong Son route, which served as a vital military supply line during the war. 02:45 PM – Visit Da Krong Bridge Spanning the majestic Dakrong River amidst rugged limestone mountains, Dakrong Bridge is a striking symbol of engineering resilience and historical significance. During the wartime years, this vital crossing served as a crucial arterial hub for the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail, funneling supplies, troops, and hope southwards despite relentless aerial bombardment. Rebuilt into a modern suspension bridge, it stands today as a gateway to the Trường Sơn Range and the rich cultural heritage of local ethnic minority communities like the Pa Co and Bru-Van Kieu.
04:15 PM - Quang Tri Ancient Citadel: A Legacy of Courage & Peace Located along the peaceful Thach Han River, Quang Tri Ancient Citadel is a place where history meets deep emotional resonance. In the fiery summer of 1972, this historic fortress endured 81 continuous days and nights of fierce defense, absorbing explosive power equivalent to seven atomic bombs. Today, the battlefield has transformed into a serene memorial park and a collective symbol of sacred remembrance. Rather than individual headstones, a central monument honors thousands of young souls who gave their lives here. Visiting the Citadel is not just a tour—it is a poignant journey through tragedy, resilience, and the true price of peace.
