Explore the Colorado River on a guided kayak tour through the spectacular Black Canyon, just an hour from Las Vegas. Choose to drive yourself to Willow Beach, Arizona, or add convenient round-trip transportation from Las Vegas. If driving yourself, meet your guide at Willow Beach 30 minutes before your scheduled launch time. After entering Lake Mead National Recreation Area, follow the road to Willow Beach, where you’ll find the paved parking lot and paddlecraft launch area. Look for the distinctive red and yellow kayaks near the launch area, where your guide will check you in and get you ready for your Colorado River kayaking adventure. Before setting off, you’ll be fitted with all necessary kayaking equipment and receive a safety briefing and paddling orientation. No previous kayaking experience is necessary, making this an easy and enjoyable outdoor adventure for beginners, families and couples.

Once everyone is ready, launch directly from Willow Beach and paddle along the calm waters of the Colorado River through Black Canyon. Surrounded by towering desert cliffs and dramatic scenery, keep an eye out for local wildlife, including bighorn sheep, while your guide shares stories about the area’s history, wildlife and unique landscape. Along the way, stop at a historic riverside site before taking a short guided walk to a breathtaking overlook with panoramic views of the Colorado River and Black Canyon. After taking in the scenery, return to your kayak for a relaxing paddle back to Willow Beach, finishing your 2-hour guided Colorado River kayak tour near Las Vegas.
