In just over an hour, explore the history of Michelangelo’s David, following a chronological itinerary that brings the story of one of Florence’s most iconic symbols to life. Your private guide will tailor the experience to your interests, offering a more personal and engaging visit. Starting just a few steps from the Gallery, discover Michelangelo’s monumental David, carved entirely from marble between 1501 and 1504 and standing over 5 meters tall. Inside the museum, admire one of the world’s most important collections of Michelangelo’s sculptures, including the famous unfinished Prisoners (Prigioni). You will also have the chance to visit the Museum of Musical Instruments and admire an impressive collection of gold-ground paintings. At the end of the guided tour, you are welcome to remain inside the museum and continue exploring its collections at your own pace.
