Most visitors experience only the Algarve’s sunny beaches and charming villages. This adventure reveals a completely different side of the region: the wild West Coast, part of the Costa Vicentina Natural Park, where soaring cliffs, hidden beaches, and remote trails create an unforgettable edge-of-the-world feeling.
Every tour is personally designed and led by me, following routes I’ve spent years discovering and refining and which no other tours will bring you to.
I keep groups small so we can explore at a relaxed pace, adapt to the day’s conditions, and visit places larger tours simply can’t reach. Along the way, I bring the landscape to life through local stories, natural history, and hands-on discovery.
To finish, we share a homemade sunset tapas picnic with local wine. I prepare every meal myself because I believe great adventures deserve a memorable ending.
This isn’t a big tour company following a script—it’s a personal experience I’ve been sharing and refining since 2014.

What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We meet in a small residential parking lot, 20 minute walk from downtown Lagos. This is a prefect meeting point: It's quiet, shaded, and has free parking.
What to expect
This is much more than just a hike. We’ll spend around four hours on the trail, stopping often to explore, learn, relax, take photos, and simply soak it all in.
Groups are kept small, giving us the flexibility to slow down, adapt the day to the group, and enjoy each place without rushing.

Along our journey, you’ll discover why this coast was once considered the End of the World, learn how the Atlantic has shaped this dramatic coastline, and experience a side of the Algarve that feels a world away from the busy beaches and resorts.
We’ll finish with a homemade sunset tapas picnic at one of my favorite secluded viewpoints, complete with traditional Algarvian dishes, wine, and front-row seats to the sunset.
Summer bonus: The West Coast has its own microclimate and is typically much cooler than the rest of the Algarve—a refreshing escape from the summer heat.

- This is a full-day tour, but not a full day of hiking. We hike for about 4 hours (8–10 km / 5–6 miles) at a relaxed pace, with plenty of breaks.
- Expect uneven terrain, including some rocky, loose, steep, and sometimes slippery trails.
- No hiking experience is needed, but you should have good balance, mobility, and confidence walking on uneven ground.
- We’ll be near tall cliffs, but you’ll never be required to go closer than you’re comfortable with.
