Meeting point is "Námestie osloboditeľov 11, 040 01 Košice-Staré Mesto", in front of a small cemetery for soldiers of Red Army (Soviet Union) marked with Soviet flag, close to Aupark Shopping Mall. Look for a young man with a big backpack and a big bottle in his hands! No umbrellas on this tour!
Tour is ending nearby the East Slovak Museum and near the building of Slovak Military Headquarters. Ending point is approximately 15-20 minutes away from the Meeting point location where the tour starts.

A historic barracks complex for military of Slovakia, now reconstructed and turned into a park of Culture in 2013 serving as the main location for concerts, festivals, shows and other activities of European Heart of Culture program.

2St Elizabeth's Cathedral (Dom Svatej Alzbety)
The Largest cathedral in Slovakia, sitting right in the Main Square of Košice as the spine of the Old Town. Beautiful Gothic structure built during 14-15th century, named after a Hungarian princess Elisabeth known for her charity work and giving up her royal duties to became a poor common person to help other poor common people.

3St. Urban’s Tower
A bell tower standing separately from the St. Elisabeth Cathedral, linked to a massive destructive fire in 1556.

4Singing fountain
Built during communism in 1986 - oldest "singing" (music-synchronized) fountain in the former Czechoslovakia.

5State Theatre Kosice
Neo-baroque building from late 19th century during the rule of Austria-Hungary, reflects the wealth and civic ambition of the city under Hungarian administration.

6Sculpture Immaculata - Plague Column
14 m tall baroque column erected after the plague epicemic of 1710s. Depicts the Virgin Mary and serves as a thanksgiving monument of catholic Slovaks to God for "ending" the plague, like many other monuments across Central Europe after plague waves.

A historic street of metalworking craftsmen, as every town in Slovakia was focusing on specific craftsmanship. Košice used to be a trade hub for medieval guilds on routes towards Poland and Baltic States.

9Miklus Prison
Former medieval town prison and executioner's house, now a museum. On the tour we see the exterior, entering the museum is only available with a ticket.

10Jakabov Palac
Jakab’s Palace in Košice is a unique Neo-Gothic gem, this architectural masterpiece was built between 1899 and 1903 in the Neo-Gothic style. It is named after its architect and first owner, Arpád Jakab, who designed it based on the style of medieval buildings. Stone elements discarded during the restoration of another house in Košice in the late 19th century were partially incorporated into the construction, lending the building an air of authenticity. The palace has served nobleties of the Jakab family, as well as the second Czechoslovak president Edvard Beneš after the fall of feudalism and Austria-Hungary.

Neo-baroque museum next to the Museum Park and tram stop to easily navigate the city after the end of the tour. Museum holds the famous Košice Gold Treasure (medieval coins and jewelry), great to continue exploring after the tour ends.
