Depart Manuel Antonio at 8:00 a.m. for a scenic one-hour drive, followed by a 45-minute guided hike through lush tropical forest. Discover spectacular waterfalls cascading over rocky cliffs into natural pools. Enjoy two hours to admire the scenery, take photos, relax, and swim when conditions allow. Refuel with a snack before the 45-minute return hike.
Continue to the coast for a 45-minute beach stop to stroll along the shore and enjoy the Pacific breeze. Finish with a traditional Costa Rican lunch before the approximately 30-minute drive back to Manuel Antonio.

Meeting and pickup
We provide pickup from hotels, vacation rentals, and private homes in Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Please provide your accommodation name and address when booking. We will confirm your exact pickup time before the tour. Be ready at your hotel lobby or the main entrance of your accommodation 15 minutes before your confirmed pickup time. Look for your guide wearing a Chasing Adventures Costa Rica uniform.

We pick up all guests from their hotels or vacation rentals in Quepos and Manuel Antonio, then enjoy a scenic 45-minute drive to Nauyaca Waterfalls. Along the way, your guide will share stories about Quepos and its history, as well as insights into the oil palm plantations you will see along the route.

2Nauyaca Waterfalls
Upon arrival, we begin a guided 3-mile hike toward Nauyaca Waterfalls, taking approximately 45 minutes. Along the trail, enjoy the lush tropical scenery as your guide shares insights into the local flora and fauna. Keep an eye out for birds and other wildlife, with opportunities to pause, drink water, and take photos along the way.

3Nauyaca Waterfalls
We spend approximately 1.5 hours at Nauyaca Waterfalls, enjoying the stunning scenery and taking time to relax, take photos, and swim in the natural pool when conditions allow. Your guide will explain the safety guidelines and point out suitable swimming areas. During our visit, we also enjoy a refreshing snack surrounded by the sounds of the waterfalls and tropical forest.

4Nauyaca Waterfalls
After enjoying the waterfalls and a snack, we hike back along the trail to our vehicle, taking approximately 45 minutes. Along the way, enjoy more views of the tropical surroundings, with short breaks to rest and drink water as needed.

Next, we visit a nearby beach, where we spend approximately 45 minutes relaxing, taking photos, and enjoying the beautiful Pacific coastline. After our beach stop, we head to a local restaurant to enjoy a traditional Costa Rican lunch—a delicious way to finish our adventure before returning to your accommodation.

6Manuel Antonio
After lunch, we drive back to Manuel Antonio and Quepos, dropping you off at your hotel or vacation rental after a memorable day exploring Nauyaca Waterfalls and Costa Rica’s Pacific coast.
