A trip to Sydney wouldn’t be complete without visiting its most famous landmark and the best way to experience the Sydney Opera House is from within, watching a world-class opera performance.
Nemorino is too bashful to ask the bright, beautiful Adina out, but when a handsome young soldier catches her eye, he buys some liquid courage and makes his move. After a series of hilarious mishaps, the story ends with a happy couple. But who?
Donizetti’s sparkling opera is a love letter to high notes and high jinks, and this much-loved production featuring a corrugated iron set (complete with iron sheep and birds) and painterly costumes, leans into the laughs. Expect romance, laughter, and dazzling singing in this gem of an opera.
