Escape to the exotic paradise of Preveli Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in South Crete. This unique destination is where the Grand River (Megalos Potamos) meets the crystal-clear Libyan Sea, creating a tropical landscape unlike anywhere else in Greece.
The area is famous for its palm forest of rare Theophrastus palms — the second largest in Crete. Walk along the shaded riverbanks, explore the small canyon, swim in turquoise waters, or relax on the sandy and pebbled beach surrounded by dramatic cliffs. Don’t miss the famous heart-shaped rock, a favorite photo spot. Your journey begins with a scenic drive through Crete’s stunning landscapes before arriving at the viewpoint above Preveli Beach. From there, a 15-minute walk with approximately 300 steps leads down to the beach.
Enjoy around 4 hours of free time to swim, sunbathe, explore the palm forest, and discover the beauty of South Crete at your own pace before the comfortable return drive to your hotel.
