    Begin with an early pickup from your hotel and drive south through coastal villages, coconut plantations, and open countryside toward Bodo village, the gateway to Funzi Island, enjoying scenic glimpses of rural coastal life. Arrive at Bodo to board a traditional motorized canoe to Funzi Island across the calm waters of the Ramisi River delta. Explore the winding channels of the Ramisi River estuary a vital mangrove ecosystem rich in birdlife like kingfishers .

    Funzi Island

    Afterwards you will travel from the main Ramisi River estuary to Funzi Island that takes just 10 to 20 minutes by motorized boat.you will have a freshly prepared Swahili-style seafood lunch and a short walk through the fishing village to experience local customs and traditional island life. Finally, board your return canoe to the mainland and drive back to your hotel, arriving in the late afternoon after a peaceful and culturally rich coastal adventure
