Get ready to discover the Murano island, witnessing artistry in action in its glass factories, experiencing the lampwork tradition by creating your own Venetian bead and visiting the Byzantine-style 12th century mosaics of its churches.
You will have a personal glass lampwork workshop, in which you will create your own Venetian bead, keeping alive a 17th century artistic practice.
We will visit the oldest glass factory in the world active since 1295 and see how tradition is combined with contemporary design and creativity.
We will stroll around Murano, discovering some hidden gems like its churches and walking through off-the-beaten paths.

What to expect
Visit Murano, one of the most visited islands in the Venice lagoon, thanks to the worldwide reputation of its glassmaking industry. This tour will take you beyond the busiest tourist areas to discover authentic workshops and unique glass factories, including the oldest glass factory in the world, active since 1295, where centuries-old traditions meet contemporary design and creativity.
Far from being stuck in the past, glassmaking still runs in the veins of the island’s inhabitants. You will experience first-hand one of its oldest techniques—lampwork—during a workshop led by a local artist, who will guide you through the process and help you create your own Venetian bead, keeping alive a 17th-century artistic tradition. The bead you create becomes a unique handmade souvenir and a personal connection to Murano’s living heritage. You can take it with you straight away, as the cooling process takes only about 15 minutes.
