Milan Handmade Pizza and Gelato Making Class with Local Chef

3 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English

In 2025, UNESCO recognized Italian cooking as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and there's no better way to discover it than in a real Italian home. Step into elegant family home in central Milan, steps from the M4 metro, surrounded by private art collection. You'll start with a creamy homemade gelato, then knead your own pizza dough from scratch and top it Italian-style, using recipes passed down through generations. Grandma Bruna and her grandchildren attended the cooking school near best teachers were always grandmothers. For three hands-on hours you'll cook, laugh and share stories, then sit down together to enjoy everything you've made with a glass of organic rosé. It feels less like a class and more like a meal with Italian friends. You'll leave with new skills, great memories and a true taste of Italy to take home.

What to expect

Here's what you'll do during your 3-hour class:

1. Welcome: Meet us at our family home at Via Giuseppe Dezza 47, just steps from the Coni Zugna stop on the M4 metro line. Get to know your hosts and the other guests, surrounded by our family's private art collection.

2. Gelato first: We start with dessert, so it's ready in time for the meal. You'll make creamy Italian gelato by hand and learn the secrets behind its smooth texture.

3. Pizza time: Learn how to make pizza dough from scratch, then stretch it by hand and top your own pizza, Italian style. Along the way we'll share the tips and tricks handed down by our grandmothers.

4. Sit down and enjoy: We gather around the table to enjoy the pizza and gelato you've made, with a glass of organic rosé wine and water.

Ask as many questions as you like: you'll leave with the skills to make it all again at home.
