- Head south to visit the Punta Tombo Protected Natural Area, the largest continental colony of Magellanic penguins (180km journey).
- Arrive at the reserve and visit the Interpretation Center, where there is a sample of Magellanic penguins, and other penguin species of the world.

- Tour the trails that cross the area and reach the coast, along which you will see the penguins and their nests. Depending on the season, they may encounter penguins in their different stages of reproduction: courtship, mate formation, nest arming, egg incubation, hatchling, among others.
Guanacos and other seabirds can also be observed.
After about three hours of visiting the reserve, return to Puerto Madryn.
The excursion starts early from Puerto Madryn accompanied by a guide, heading south along 180km, much of it asphalt, to reach Punta Tombo, the largest continental reserve of Magellanic penguins in the world. Upon entering the reserve the first thing you will see will be the interpretation center, which through its rooms gives an introduction to the friendly Magellanic penguins, as well as other species of penguins in the world.
