This experience is a creative way to discover Athens beyond the usual sightseeing. The workshop takes place inside The Art Lab, a colorful local studio in Gazi, a neighborhood known for its street art, cafés, and alternative energy.
Travelers don’t follow one fixed design — they create a piece that matches their own style. They can experiment with colors, shapes, marbling, terrazzo effects, and playful forms to make earrings, a pendant, a keychain, or another small handmade piece.
It’s beginner-friendly, relaxed, and social, with step-by-step guidance throughout. Plus, each traveler enjoys a complimentary drink while their pieces bake and leaves with a wearable souvenir they created themselves.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
The meeting point is at The Art Lab Athens in the Gazi / Kerameikos area. Look for the art studio with colourful artwork and signage outside. Please enter the studio and tell the staff you are there for the polymer clay jewellery workshop. You will be welcomed and guided to the workshop space.
What to expect
First, they will explore different colors, shapes, and design ideas, then learn basic polymer clay techniques such as shaping, cutting, marbling, terrazzo effects, and adding decorative details. With step-by-step guidance, they will design their own earrings, pendant, keychain, or small wearable piece, depending on their style and the available materials.
Once the pieces are shaped, they will be baked and finished during the workshop. While waiting, travelers can enjoy a complimentary drink, relax in the studio, take photos, and chat about Athens, street art, and local creative spots.
At the end of the experience, each participant takes home their finished handmade jewelry — a unique, wearable souvenir from Athens that they created.
