Our surf lessons are a full 2 hours, giving you plenty of time to learn, laugh, and ride with confidence. The lowest student-to-instructor ratio on the island (just 3:1), ensures a personalized and safe experience for every guest. All lessons start on land with safety and technique instruction before heading into the ocean to put your new skills into action for catching your first waves! At all times you’ll be close to one of our incredible surf instructors.
Note: for safety, children ages 5-9 require a private lesson.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We surf at The Guardrails on Honoapiʻilani Highway (Hwy 30) just south of mile marker 19 in West Maui. When you arrive, please park on the mountainside of the road, safely cross the road, and come down to the beach where our surf instructors will meet you.
What to expect
Whether it’s your first time surfing or you want to sharpen your skills, surf lessons with Keep It Simple Hawaii are designed to be fun, safe, and truly unforgettable. Every lesson is private for you and your family/group. Taught by friendly and experienced instructors, you’ll get the personalized attention you need to succeed at catching some waves.

- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
