We surf at The Guardrails on Honoapiʻilani Highway (Hwy 30) just south of mile marker 19 in West Maui. When you arrive, please park on the mountainside of the road, safely cross the road, and come down to the beach where our surf instructors will meet you.

What to expect

This is a fully guided 2-hour private surf lesson designed for fun, safety, and success. With our exceptional 3-to-1 student–instructor ratio (for groups up to 12 from the same family or travel group—never mixed with strangers).

We'll begin with a 20–25 minute land lesson covering everything you need to know: safety, paddling technique, popping up, and how to ride your first wave. The rest of the time is spent in the water, where your instructor(s) will help you catch waves with hands-on coaching, wave-pushing, and in-water support.

And remember—surfing isn’t just for the kids… It’s for the whole ‘ohana!
