(We will view the castle from outside the walls as the complex is closed to the public from May 2026 due to Ireland's hosting of the EU presidency).

Established in 1592 by royal charter from Queen Elizabeth I, Trinity College stands as Ireland's oldest university still in operation today. Just across the road, you'll see the former Irish House of Lords—the nation's principal parliament building from the 1730s until its dissolution following the Acts of Union in 1800.
