The castle was built around the 14 hundreds by the Republic of Genoa to protect the coast of the Tigullio. After being occupied by French troops, it became a private villa. Nowadays, it is one of the most iconic landmark of the Portofino Natural Park.
Portofino, or 'Portus Delphini' as it was originally named, evolves around its small harbour, and is known for the colourfully painted clustered homes that line the shore. Originally a small fishing harbour, since the late 19th century, Portofino has attracted tourism of the European aristocracy first and millions of Worldwide travellers later. Portofino is now a resort for the world's jet set, as well as the World's most famous harbour. Our tours can both start and end in Portofino, just meters off the famous Piazzetta. Otherwise we can stop in Portofino for a brief walk, a gelato in the square or just take pictures from the boat.
The lighthouse was built in 1917 and consists of a white quadrangular tower, 12 feet (3.7 m) high, perched at the tip of the Portofino Peninsula. This majestic lighthouse is the first major signal ships see whilst navigating towards the near port of Genoa. With the boat, you get a privileged site of the lighthouse and its features whilst cruising along the Portofino peninsula.

The World-famous San Fruttuoso Abbey with the Sunken Jesus Statue: the Christ of the Abysses.
The Christ of the Abyss is a 3-meter submerged Jesus statue which lies 12 meters under the surface of the water. Placed in the San Fruttuoso bay +70 years ago, this statue is the most visited diving spot in the Mediterranean. We will be able to stop in close proximity to the diving spot and with the COMPLIMENTARY SNORKELLING EQUIPMENT you will be able too see this amazing landmark.
