  Check in at the terminal, meet your crew and step aboard. Find your seat, feel the breeze pick up, and leave the bustle of Nassau behind as you push off across the harbour.

  Pulling away from the dock, you cruise out across Nassau Harbour — turquoise water, passing cruise ships and the Nassau and Paradise Island skyline framing the ride out toward open Bahamian sea.

  You set off directly across from the towers of Atlantis Paradise Island, then glide along the Paradise Island shoreline — a last look at the resort strip before it opens into quiet out-island water.

  The crossing is part of the experience. You'll glide past Athol Island — a low, uninhabited cay ringed by impossibly clear, shallow water in every shade of blue. No crowds, no buildings, just open Bahamian sea and the first real sense that you're headed somewhere special.

  Arrive and you're shown straight to your private oceanfront villa. Your personal server gets you settled and the drinks starts flowing. Sink into a lounger, take out a kayak or paddleboard or wade into the turquoise water just steps from your villa — the first half of the day is yours to ease into at your own pace.

  Slip on a mask and fins and follow your guide out to the reef just offshore. Crystal-clear water, colourful fish and the marine life that makes the Bahamas famous — gear included, easy enough for first-timers.

  Back on the island, the day unwinds. A traditional Bahamian lunch is served right at your villa — no queues, no shared tables. Afterwards, stretch out on one of two white-sand beaches, climb the iconic lighthouse for sweeping views across Nassau Harbour, or simply do nothing at all in the shade. This is Pearl Island at its most private — good food, cold drinks, no rush.

  Climb Pearl Island's iconic white lighthouse — the landmark from every photo of the island — for sweeping panoramic views across the reef, the surrounding cays and Nassau Harbour in the distance. It's the best photo spot on the island.

  Afterwards, the rest of the day is yours. Stretch out on one of two white-sand beaches, head out on the complimentary kayaks and stand-up paddleboards or simply do nothing at all in the shade. This is Pearl Island at its most private and exclusive.
