What to expect
Your first landmark is the Igreja de Santa Rita de Cássia, built in 1722 and the oldest church in Paraty. Its bright white facade rises above the cobblestones, and the riddles reveal the stories behind its founding.
The route leads next to the Cais de Paraty, the old stone quay at the water's edge. Gold mined in Minas Gerais once passed through here on its way to Portugal — the app walks you through its remarkable history.
The hunt ends at the Casarão dos Símbolos, a colonial mansion whose walls are carved with Masonic symbols and cryptic imagery that historians are still debating. It's one of Paraty's most curious sights.
