What to expect

Starting at the Murazzi del Po riverside embankment, you'll open the Explorial app, enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and climb from the river into the baroque grid. The tour is fully self-guided — no guide, no fixed start time, just your group and the city.

The Mole Antonelliana soon dominates the skyline — begun as a synagogue, finished as an icon, now home to the cinema museum. Riddles scale its improbable spire.

Piazza Carignano follows, where the undulating brick palace witnessed the birth of the Italian parliament. Trivia covers kings, counts and revolutions.

Then Piazza Castello gathers the Savoy legacy in one place: Palazzo Reale, Palazzo Madama and arcades made for strolling.

About two hours, with gelato and bicerin within reach at all times. The final scoreboard crowns Turin's sharpest mind.
