What to expect

Starting at Calle del Forno in Cannaregio, you'll open the Explorial app, enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and slip into the quiet side of Venice. The tour is fully self-guided — no guide, no fixed start time, just your group and the city.

The Jewish Ghetto comes first — the world's first, founded in 1516, its tall houses and synagogues carrying five centuries of memory. The riddles here reward attention.

Then Santa Maria dei Miracoli appears like a trick of the light: a church clad entirely in polished marble, Venice's Renaissance jewel-box. Trivia polishes the details.

At Campo dei Mori, three turbaned stone merchants guard their corner, next door to Tintoretto's house — and to a few sneaky clues.

Around two hours of bridges and backstreets, gelato optional but advisable. The leaderboard crowns the campo's new champion.
