What to expect
At the Unteres Stadttor, the lower city gate that once controlled access to the medieval town from the lake shore, challenges probe the history of the gate and the upper town it once defended.
The trail moves to the Kapuzinerkloster, the Capuchin monastery that has stood quietly at the edge of the old town since 1615 — riddles here explore the Franciscan tradition, the monastery's role during plague years, and its peaceful walled garden.
At the Molo, the lakeside pier where locals gather at sunset and the Alps of three countries are visible across the water, you'll tackle questions about Lake Constance, the floating stage of the Bregenzer Festspiele, and the geography of the Bodensee.
The trail takes around two hours at a comfortable pace, with no guide and no fixed schedule.
