What to expect
Your first landmark is the Praza de María Pita itself, the grand arcaded square named after the local heroine who raised the alarm during Sir Francis Drake's 1589 raid. The town hall and surrounding galleries make it one of the most elegant squares in Galicia.
From there the app takes you to the Parque da Marina, a waterfront park stretching along the bay where families, cyclists, and evening walkers share a promenade between the sea and the city's famous glazed balconied houses.
The route concludes at the Igrexa de Santiago, a Romanesque church in the old city whose worn stone columns and carved tympanum date to the 12th century — one of the oldest buildings still standing in A Coruña.
