What to expect
From the town's riverside, the trail leads you through Tomar's handsome streets and into its medieval heart. The first riddles take you to the Monumento Dom Henrique, honouring one of Portugal's most significant historical figures and his deep connection to this Templar city.
From here, the route continues to the Complexo Cultural da Levada, a restored industrial heritage complex beside the Nabão river, now repurposed as a vibrant cultural venue.
The app then guides you into Praça da República, the elegant main square at the centre of Tomar's Old Town, lined with the Church of St John the Baptist and the old town hall.
Around 2 hours of walking, any group size. A fully charged smartphone with mobile data is required.
