What to expect
The route takes you through one of Europe's most dramatic city centres, rebuilt after the destruction of 1945 and now home to some of the continent's finest baroque architecture. The first riddles take you to the Wallpavillon of the Zwinger — the ornate centrepiece of Dresden's most celebrated palace complex.
From there, the trail leads you along the Brühlsche Terrasse, known as the 'Balcony of Europe', with sweeping views over the River Elbe and the historic skyline.
The app then guides you to the Frauenkirche, rebuilt stone by stone after reunification and now a powerful symbol of reconciliation and Dresden's extraordinary capacity for renewal.
Around 2 hours of walking, any group size. A fully charged smartphone with mobile data is required.
