Brussels, Belgium

2 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English and 1 more

The European Union runs one of the world's largest political experiments from a neighbourhood in Brussels — and you can walk the whole thing.

This app-led scavenger hunt takes you through Brussels's European Quarter on foot, using phone-based riddles to guide you from one landmark to the next. No guide, no fixed start time.

• Follow clues to the Parlement européen, the Berlaymont building, and the Parc du Cinquantenaire — three landmarks that take you from the EU's debating chamber to a 19th-century triumphal arch
• Start whenever suits you and take all the time you need — no time limit, no pressure
• Works for friend groups, families, and anyone curious about how Europe actually works; photo challenges in the Quarter produce surprisingly photogenic results

Around 2 hours, any group size, available in English and French.

The EU Quarter is the most powerful neighbourhood most tourists never visit — your phone has the pass.

What to expect

Starting at Rue du Luxembourg next to the European Parliament in Brussels's EU Quarter, enter your 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message into the free Explorial app and begin a self-guided trail through the administrative heart of Europe.

At the Parlement européen, the sweeping glass hemicycle where Members of the European Parliament debate and vote, challenges explore how the Parliament works, what its powers are, and why Brussels became Europe's political capital.

The trail moves to the Berlaymont building, the star-shaped glass tower that serves as headquarters of the European Commission — riddles probe the building's distinctive shape and the role of the Commission in European governance.

At the Parc du Cinquantenaire, the grand 19th-century park and its triumphal arches commissioned by Leopold II, you'll tackle questions about Belgian national identity and the extraordinary museums hidden inside the arcade.

The trail takes around two hours at a comfortable pace, with no guide and no fixed schedule.
