What to expect

Starting at the Vermählungsbrunnen fountain on Hoher Markt, you'll open the Explorial app, enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and set off across Vienna's oldest square. The tour is fully self-guided — no guide, no fixed start time, just your group and the city.

The Stephansdom rises first — Vienna's Gothic heart, its tiled roof glittering with chevrons and eagles. Riddles climb toward the Pummerin bell.

At the Sisi Museum in the Hofburg, trivia follows Empress Elisabeth from fairy-tale bride to restless icon, myth and reality carefully separated.

Then the Hofburg itself unfolds courtyard by courtyard: six centuries of Habsburg power, Spanish Riding School included.

Around two hours through the imperial core, Sachertorte within easy reach. When the last riddle resolves, the leaderboard hands down its imperial decree.
