What to expect
Your first landmark is Pasadena City Hall, completed in 1927 in a Spanish Colonial Revival style with a magnificent dome and arcaded courtyard — one of the most beautiful municipal buildings in the United States and the setting for countless film and television productions.
From there the app takes you to the Pasadena Robinson Memorial, a monument honouring Jackie Robinson, who was born in Pasadena and went on to break Major League Baseball's colour barrier in 1947 — a story that reaches far beyond the city that raised him.
The route concludes at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, an Italian Renaissance-inspired hall built in 1932 that has hosted the Emmy Awards, the Tournament of Roses, and performances from Frank Sinatra to Radiohead.
Around 2 hours on foot. Pasadena is pleasant to walk in any season, with generous shade and wide sidewalks.
