What to expect

Starting near the Warwick Castle entrance in the town centre, you'll open the Explorial app, enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and step into a thousand years of history. The tour is fully self-guided — no guide, no fixed start time, just your group and the city.

The Castle View comes first — towers and battlements rising over the River Avon, seat of the Kingmaker himself. Riddles lay siege from a comfortable distance.

Thomas Oken's House follows, the timber-framed home of the Tudor merchant whose charity still funds the town. Trivia counts his good deeds.

Then St Mary's Church crowns the hunt, its tower dominating the skyline and the Beauchamp Chapel guarding Warwick's medieval elite.

Around two hours through fire-spared lanes and market squares. The leaderboard declares the true heir to Warwick.
