What to expect
The first clue leads to the Stadttheater, Klagenfurt's neoclassical city theatre built in 1910, whose columned facade and decorated interior have hosted opera, drama, and orchestral performances for over a century.
From there the app takes you to the Domplatz, the cathedral square at the historic centre of the city, where the Klagenfurt Cathedral — a Jesuit church completed in 1591 — faces the square with its baroque twin towers and quietly magnificent interior.
The route concludes at Schillerpark, a green oasis in the city centre where a statue of Friedrich Schiller stands beneath old chestnuts and where Klagenfurt locals come to breathe between errands.
Around 2 hours on foot. The old town is compact and largely flat, making this an easy and rewarding walk.
