This app-led scavenger hunt takes you through Aarau on foot, using phone-based riddles to guide you from one landmark to the next. No guide, no fixed start time.

What to expect
The Obertorturm dominates early — the 13th-century gate tower with its carillon and centuries of watchmen's stories. Riddles ring through its history.
At the Alte Kantonsschule, trivia honours the country's oldest non-clerical high school, alma mater to a certain Albert Einstein.
Then the Alte Mühle grinds out the final clues, a reminder of the mills and industry that powered Aarau long before it powered Switzerland's briefest stint as capital.
Around two hours beneath the town's famously painted eaves — keep looking up. The leaderboard crowns Aarau's sharpest eye.
