What to expect

Starting at Horniman Circle Garden in the Fort district, you'll open the Explorial app, enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and join the current of Mumbai's oldest quarter. The tour is fully self-guided — no guide, no fixed start time, just your group and the city.

The Gateway of India rises on the harbour — the basalt arch built to welcome a king and, in 1948, to wave the British Raj goodbye. Riddles watch the boats to Elephanta come and go.

St. Thomas' Cathedral offers cool white calm next, the 1718 church that gave Churchgate its name. Trivia reads the poignant memorial tablets.

Then Flora Fountain blooms in stone at the Fort's great junction, the Roman goddess presiding over five streams of traffic.

Around two hours through the city that never slows. The leaderboard declares the winner — cutting chai for all.
