What to expect

Starting at the Marktplatz in the heart of the old town, you'll open the Explorial app, enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and start counting. The tour is fully self-guided — no guide, no fixed start time, just your group and the city.

The St. Ursen-Kathedrale towers over the first riddles: built in eleven years, with eleven altars, eleven bells, and a staircase of steps in multiples of eleven — Solothurn's lucky number in full baroque glory.

At the Rathaus, you'll untangle a facade where Gothic turrets meet Renaissance staircases — a building that took three centuries to agree with itself.

The Märetplatz brings the old town together beneath the Zytglogge tower, whose astronomical clock has kept Solothurn punctual since the 16th century.

Around 2 hours of baroque streets and arcaded lanes, with café stops as needed. By the end, you'll be checking every fountain and chapel against the count of eleven.
