    La Melonera

    At La Melonera, travelers will discover one of the most special wine estates in the Serranía de Ronda, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, holm oaks, and beautiful countryside views. The experience usually begins with a warm welcome in the vineyard, where guests learn about the history of winemaking in Ronda. The estate is located at high altitude, between approximately 650 and 940 meters, which gives its wines a very distinctive character. During the visit, travelers will walk through the vineyards, organic garden, and olive grove before entering the winery to see the different winemaking areas. They will learn how the wines are produced, aged, and bottled, with explanations in English or Spanish. The highlight of the experience is the tasting. Guests will enjoy a selection of La Melonera’s wines, usually accompanied by Iberian ham, artisanal bread, and a tasting of the estate’s extra virgin olive oils

    During their 2 hours of free time in Ronda, travelers can explore the town at their own pace. They will see the famous Puente Nuevo, Ronda’s iconic bridge overlooking the dramatic gorge, enjoy beautiful views over the countryside, and wander through the charming old town with its narrow streets, whitewashed houses, small squares, cafés, and local shops. You may also choose to visit the area around the Plaza de Toros, one of Spain’s oldest bullrings, or simply relax with a drink or lunch while enjoying the unique atmosphere of one of Andalusia’s most spectacular hilltop towns.
