    Fenland Trail

Ride the Fenland Trail, a flat forest loop through tall spruce along Forty Mile Creek, just minutes from town. It's shaded and green in summer, quiet and snow-packed in winter, and a good spot to watch for elk and deer.

30 minutes • Admission ticket free
  • 2
    Vermilion Lakes

On summer rides, cruise the quiet Vermilion Lakes Road, a mostly flat route along a chain of three lakes and wetlands just west of town. The wide tires grip easily on the gentle rolls, and the electric boost makes every rise effortless. Stop for the classic view of Mount Rundle rising across the water, one of the most photographed scenes in Banff. Keep an eye out for elk, beavers, and birdlife along the shore.

30 minutes • Admission ticket free
  • 3
    Spray River Trail Loop

Loop the Spray River Trail, a rolling forest ride along the river just south of the Banff Springs. The wide tires handle roots and gravel with ease, and the electric boost takes the work out of every climb. Watch for deer and elk in the quieter stretches, then pause for a view of the Fairmont Banff Springs from across the river, a different angle from the usual postcard shot. Finish with a fun downhill run back toward town.

30 minutes • Admission ticket free
  • 4
    Banff Town Sign

Stop at the Banff Town Sign for a group photo with your e-bikes, with the mountains rising behind. It's one of the most popular photo spots in town, and your guide is happy to take the shot.

5 minutes • Admission ticket free
  • (Pass by)

Ride up to the Fairmont Banff Springs, the "Castle in the Rockies," built by the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1888. Pause at the terrace for a look down the Bow Valley, then roll on past the hotel's stone towers.

    Bow Falls

Stop at Bow Falls, where the Bow River pours over a wide band of rock ledges just below the Fairmont Banff Springs. In summer, the falls run high and loud with snowmelt. Marilyn Monroe filmed scenes here for the 1954 film River of No Return.

5 minutes • Admission ticket free
  • 6
Cave and Basin National Historic Site

On winter rides, stop at Cave and Basin, the birthplace of Canada's national parks. In 1883, three railway workers found warm mineral springs in a cave here, and two years later the area was protected, starting what became Banff National Park. Step inside the cave to see the steaming turquoise pool.
