What to expect

After an 8:30 AM pickup from your hotel in Munich, we’ll drive to the southeastern corner of Germany where the Eagle's Nest is located. The drive takes just two hours and provides exceptional views of the Alps throughout the journey.

Once we arrive, you'll have time to explore the documentation center and Hitler's former bunker. Next, we'll board the local bus for a 10-minute ride up to the top platform. A final short ride in the historic brass elevator brings you to the summit in just under a minute. You'll be left speechless by the absolutely amazing panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and lakes from a height of 1,834 meters above sea level.

While at the top, you'll have the opportunity to take short walks to various viewpoints—each facing a different direction—and sit down on the restaurant terrace to enjoy a Bavarian lunch in a truly special location. We usually spend about two hours at the summit before heading back down to the car.

A 10-minute drive brings us to the charming, regional town of Berchtesgaden, where a stroll through the old town and a delicious cup of coffee await you. We will depart around 4:00 PM to return to Munich by approximately 6:00 PM.

Please Note:
Seasonal Opening: The Eagle's Nest is typically open from mid-May through the end of October, depending on snow conditions. Exact opening and closing dates vary each year, so please check with us before booking if you plan to visit during these shoulder months.

Weather Policy: In case of bad weather, you may cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the tour, or opt for our "Plan B" - a fun and fascinating visit to the local salt mine in Berchtesgaden.

Admission Tickets: Entrance tickets are NOT included in the tour price. Once your group size is confirmed closer to the tour date, we will send you a link to purchase tickets for the correct time slot.
