What to expect
Hotel pick up and drive 20 minutes north of Oaxaca in the Ecotourism park Donaji. This moderate hike takes you up the mountains of Oaxaca city, where you'll explore the region's diverse flora and fauna, spot local birds in open fields, and wander through serene oak forests.
Reach the viewpoint and enjoy stunning views over the city. Sip local chocolate while you enjoy the view and take in the peaceful energy of the mountain.
• Loop: 2.5 mi / 4 km or 4.3 mi / 7 km
• Maximum elevation: 6600 ft / 2000 m
• Trail Diffculty: Moderate
After descending, you’ll head to a local restaurant, a family-run spot where you'll enjoy a home-cooked meal. Finally, we’ll drive you back to your hotel in Oaxaca, leaving you deeply relaxed and refreshed for the rest of the journey.
