This is a fantastic scuba experience for kids, families, or anyone who wants a fun introduction to scuba in the comfort and safety of a swimming pool! We conduct discovery classes in the ocean for all ages past 10 years old. But, we wanted to offer something for the younger kids, too! If your kids are 8 & 9, they can't go to the ocean with a tank yet, and this is a great way to introduce them to the sport. Suitable for anyone who prefers to enjoy scuba in the pool first!
If your child enjoys this introduction, their instructor can tell them how to complete a PADI Seal Team Certificate or Master Seal in the pool or go to the shallow ocean to see the fish - lots of fun stuff to keep them active and busy on vacation!
This safe and fun activity is a great primer for ocean diving and gives very young children the chance to breath underwater, and fly around like an astronaut!
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
From the IGY marina, find DOCK J by the ferris wheel. Look UP and BACK to the road, you will see Plaza Nautica. Enter by Cabo Sailing, Cabo Private Guide is right ahead. Coming from the road, we are in the same plaza as CABO Cantina & the Casino, across from Diamonte. Enter the plaza from the bar.
What to expect
You will check-in at our regulated, well-established, PADI 5 Star IDC center. We will fit the you for equipment - yes we have small tanks and small scuba equuipment just for kids! After a briefing and introduction to scuba, our driver will take us over to the pool on 20 November Street. We will spend about 2 hours submerged in fun games and necessary basic skills. If you like it, you can ask us how to see real life fishes in the ocean! On completion, you will receive a Dive Center certificate to say you tried scuba diving.
Your instructor staff are some of the most experienced in town and some are even parents themselves. They are billingual in Spanish and English. You can request a female instructor if you prefer. Our job is to keep your kids entertained and safe. The owner is a mom from the UK. If you don't join the class, we can keep you updated with encrypted whatsapp photos and videos throughout the experience for peace of mind.
