This beach is a hidden gem, and less busy than most other beaches in Costa Rica. You will get a tailored experience with a very talented and caring surf instructor who puts his heart into it and doesn't just go through the motions. You will enjoy riding the waves with a professional instructor and beautiful views.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Our surf lessons take place on the south side of the lifeguard tower at Playa Hermosa. When you arrive at the beach entrance, always turn left and continue toward the south side of the beach where our team will be waiting for you.
What to expect
Our mission is not only to help you enjoy surfing, but to teach you the correct technique, ocean awareness, and confidence needed to surf safely anywhere in the world. Every lesson is designed to help students make real progress while having an unforgettable experience in Costa Rica.

Head Coach Jossue Venegas is an ISA certified surf coach, professional surfer, certified lifeguard, and experienced instructor with more than 14 years of teaching experience in Playa Dominical, Playa Dominicalito, Playa Hermosa, and Marino Ballena National Park.
