Welcome to explore Helsinki in a way few visitors ever experience. On this tour, you'll visit Helsinki's urban countryside and relax in nature away from the city's hustle and bustle – only 30 minutes from the city center. After our walk, we'll visit Helsinki's coolest and quirkiest brewery for a chance to taste locally brewed beers. Have you ever tried a licorice beer? Now's your chance!
We will meet in the neighborhood of Arabianranta and start our walk towards Lammassaari (Sheep Island). A scenic duckboard path leads us through fields and forests, taking about 30 minutes. Once we reach Lammassaari, we'll enjoy beautiful views of Helsinki, and if we're lucky, meet the sheep that reside on the island. From Lammassaari, we head into the Viikki forest, and while we walk we'll learn about local flora and fauna. Finally, after in total of 6 km of exploring Helsinki's urban countryside, we arrive at the brewery to sit back and say cheers!

Easy to return to downtown Helsinki by public transportation. Your guide will help you to find the transportation back to the city centre.

1Lammassaari
This is one of Helsinki's best kept secrets. We'll walk to Lammassaari island through beautiful countryside. From the island, we'll have beautiful views towards Helsinki – and maybe we'll get to meet the sheep that live on the island during summer. We'll learn about the nature surrounding us, and enjoy the silence far away from the city noise. The walk to the island and back is approximately 4 km in total.

2Viikki Arboretum
After visiting Lammassaari, we continue our walk through the fields of Viikki. We'll also walk through the picturesque Viikki arboretum, where many different species of trees are found. We'll also have a stop to admire the views from a bird-watching tower. Our walk towards the final stop (beers!) is approxmately 3 km

Our final stop after taking in all the relaxing and beautiful scenery of the countryside, we'll head to Helsinki's coolest brewery. There, we'll have a beer tasting – ever tried a licorice flavored beer? Here's your chance!
