What to expect

Discover Salzburg through its most delicious traditions in a fun, hands-on cooking experience in one of the city’s oldest quarters. Here, centuries-old houses don’t just look as if they disappear into Salzburg’s city mountain — they are actually built right into it.

Together with an experienced chef, you’ll learn how to prepare two iconic Austrian specialties: traditional Apple Strudel and the famous Salzburger Nockerl.

Prepare your strudel from scratch and experience the highlight of the class: stretching the delicate dough by hand until it is paper-thin. Then create your own Salzburger Nockerl — Salzburg’s legendary light and fluffy soufflé dessert.

While everything is baking, enjoy a bowl of traditional Austrian goulash stew. A vegetarian or vegan alternative is also available.

Finally, sit down and enjoy the delicious results of your own work.

No cooking experience is needed — just bring your appetite and curiosity. More than a cooking class, it’s a relaxed, social and authentic taste of Salzburg, filled with local traditions, great food and memorable moments.

Come hungry — you’ll leave with a full stomach, new cooking skills and a little taste of Salzburg to take home!
